Summer Woolverton has over 25 years of total rewards experience in healthcare. In her current role as Director of Compensation for Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas and one of the largest in the United States, she leads a team of compensation professionals with systemwide responsibility for planning, developing, and administering various compensation programs for managers and below. Previously, she served as the Manager of Compensation for Baylor Scott & White for six years before being promoted to Director in 2021. Prior to this, she worked 19 years at Methodist Health System in various progressive human resources roles concluding with the Manager of Total Rewards.

In 2023, Summer co-authored an article detailing the innovative and meaningful team-based compensation program Baylor Scott & White implemented for nurses that are driving organizational strategic goals. The article was featured in the June Nursing Management Journal called RN Compensation Program: An innovative initiative for direct care nurses to drive outcomes.
