Senior Director, Center for Learning & Innovation Scripps Health

Stephanie Becerra has primary responsibility for centralized learning and talent development at Scripps Health in San Diego, California.  As the senior leader of the Center for Learning & Innovation (CFLI) at Scripps Health, her role encompasses creating strategy and successful workforce and leadership development programs to build the organization’s talent capital. She partners closely with corporate and site executives on workforce enhancing initiatives to address current and future talent development needs while ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.  These programs are directed at all levels of the organization with a focus on leadership which is a critical area for continued development in the fast changing times in healthcare. Also under Stephanie’s oversight is the Talent Development Services department which supports Scripps Health’s employees with specialized training and transition program opportunities as well as financial assistance resources for career and professional development and education.  This department also serves as an outreach arm to the community in education and development through successful partnerships with local schools and universities, including creating programs to introduce high school students to healthcare careers as well as creating venues for dialogue with local college leaders regarding changes in the workplace which might impact the curriculum needs of future students.  Scripps Health and the Center for Learning & Innovation is a multi-year recipient of the Learning 100 recognition by Elearning Media Group for being a top learning organization.  Scripps Health is a healthcare system with more than 15,000 employees across five hospital campuses, an ambulatory care network of clinics, physicians’ offices, outpatient centers and home based care services.
