Lydia McGhee is a visionary marketing and communications executive with over two decades of experience driving enterprise-level transformation across healthcare, media, and the financial corporate sector. As Executive Director of Caregiver Experience at Mercy, the sixth-largest Catholic healthcare system in the U.S., Lydia leads strategic initiatives that shape employee engagement for over 50,000 caregivers across five states. Her current leadership spans employment brand development, recruitment marketing, and employee value proposition strategy—aligning Mercy’s mission with every stage of the caregiver lifecycle to strengthen talent acquisition, deepen engagement, and enhance retention across the organization. Lydia’s career includes leadership roles at Aetna CVS Health, Anthem/Elevance Health, Centene Corporation, AXA Advisors, and iHeart Radio, where she consistently delivered measurable improvements in market share, audience engagement, and business performance. She is known for launching national programs and campaigns that optimize marketing ROI, elevate brand positioning, and foster inclusive organizational cultures— resulting in increased revenue, market penetration, and measurable improvements in consumer and employee lifetime value across B2B, B2C, Cx, and Ex channels. Lydia attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO, for undergraduate and graduate school. While pursuing a Master of Arts in Mass Communication, Lydia was selected for a prestigious internship in the White House, where she was one of only three interns selected to intern in the West Wing. Lydia supported international media relations and was invited to manage the main Press Office and the Press Office for the First Lady on a full-time basis. Beyond corporate leadership, Lydia brings a rich background in media and journalism. She has served as a freelance print and TV reporter for Midwest outlets, with published work spanning community affairs, entertainment, and celebrity interviews. Her national media appearances include The Food Network, Family Feud, and Good Day Live from New York. Lydia is a recipient of multiple awards for excellence in communications and health programming. She is a graduate of elite leadership programs including the St. Louis Initiative Fellows Program and The Consortium for Leadership Development, and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. A proud native of St. Louis, Missouri, Lydia remains committed to amplifying the voices of business and community leaders through journalism and mentoring the next generation of changemakers.
