Kristina Coon
Kristina Coon is the Vice President, Total Rewards at Novant Health. As Vice President, she is the architect behind a thriving work experience for more than 40,000 team members. She designs, oversees and executes a robust total rewards package, including competitive compensation, benefits, health & wellness promotion and retirement programs. Her passion for building relationships, developing staff and enhancing total rewards functions has elevated Kristina as an engaging and entrusted leader, who is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management. She is also recognized by World at Work as a Certified Compensation Professional and a Global Remuneration Professional and was recently named the HR Innovator of the Year winner by HR Healthcare. With more than twenty years of experience locally, regionally and globally, Kristina has a diverse background including leadership roles in healthcare, banking and consumer goods. Prior to joining Novant Health, she previously served as the Vice President, Global Compensation at VF Corporation. Earlier in her career, Kristina also held total rewards leadership roles at Glen Raven, Novartis Animal Health, Volvo, BB&T, and Premier Health Partners. Kristina holds a Master of Science, Human Resource Administration degree from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from Wright State University. Kristina is passionate about community involvement and proudly serves as an Executive Board Member of Non-Profit Summerfield Recreation Association.
