Jovita Thomas-Williams

SVP, HR Massachusetts General Hospital

In April of 2019, Jovita Thomas-Williams was appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO). Massachusetts General Hospital is a member of the Partners HealthCare System, an integrated not-for-profit academic health system founded by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital and a teaching affiliate of the Harvard Medical School. Ms. Thomas-Williams was most recently the vice president of HR at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. Her HR experience spans decades and a variety of industries – including healthcare, consumer products, wholesale food distribution, hospitality & entertainment, and manufacturing – in the United States, Europe, and Latin America.

Ms. Thomas-Williams holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tuskegee Institute and earned her MBA and Master in Industrial & Labor Relations at Cornell University. She was the first person in Cornell university history to obtain both the MBA and MILR graduate degrees.
