Jeff Knapp is the Chief People Officer at BAYADA Home Health Care, a $1.7 billion global industry leader with a clear strategic vision of home as the stable center of the health care continuum. Founded in Philadelphia, PA in 1975, BAYADA provides nursing, rehabilitative, therapeutic, hospice, and assistive care services to children, adults, and seniors in the comfort of their homes. With hundreds of office locations throughout the U.S., as well as Germany, India, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Korea, BAYADA is a leading nonprofit home health care provider and the only national provider to offer a full range of home-based specialty care services.

For the first time in home health care, BAYADA completed its transition from a privately-held business to a nonprofit organization on January 1, 2019—a decision by its Founder and Chairman Mark Baiada that put mission over money to help ensure that the company will never be sold and that its mission, vision, beliefs, and core values of compassion, excellence, and reliability—codified in The BAYADA Way—will endure for generations to come. Mr. Knapp sees himself as a business leader first and a human resources leader second, focused on driving positive, meaningful change that helps organizations and people reach their full potential and deliver sustainable results. Through a people lens, he is passionate about harnessing the valuable power of BAYADA’s unique culture to help drive necessary transformation.

Mr. Knapp joined BAYADA in March 2022 as Chief People Officer, responsible for operationalizing BAYADA’s people-first strategy and partnering with all specialty practices and support teams to plan and execute talent and culture priorities, including recruiting and staffing, training and development, compensation, and change management. The BAYADA Way relies on great talent and great employee experiences. As CPO, Mr. Knapp is operationalizing that commitment by leading his team to translate complex business strategy into talent strategy, employee engagement, and meaningful, actionable people plans.

Before joining BAYADA, Mr. Knapp was executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Clean Harbors, North America’s leading provider of environmental, energy, and industrial services. Previously, he held HR leadership positions of increasing responsibility at ARAMARK Healthcare, Studer Group, Walgreens, Harvest Power, and Dollar Financial Group.

Mr. Knapp earned an M.Div in Philosophy/Theology from Nazarene Theological Seminary and a BA in Religion from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. He holds an executive leadership certificate from Cornell University, is an executive coaching affiliate with The Collaborative Institute, and has held the SPHR certification from SHRM for over 20 years.
