Edina Hanes

Vice President, HR UCHealth

Edina Hanes joined UCHealth in 2010 as a nurse recruiter. She considers herself a walking testimonial to UCHealth’s commitment to professional development. In the past fourteen years, she has worked in the roles of HR business partner, HR manager, HR director, and in April 2023, promoted to the role of VP of HR for the UCHealth hospitals in southern Colorado.

In addition to driving strategy around talent acquisition, employee engagement, retention and professional development, she considers it a privilege to serve as the executive sponsor for the UCHealth Southern Colorado Inclusion Committee, the system Military Friendly Committee, and the regional Employee Advisory Group.

In the community, Edina serves on the Board, as Board Secretary, of Inside Out Youth Services. IOYS is committed to the Mission of building access, equity and power with LGBTQIA2+ young people, through leadership, advocacy, community-building, education and peer support.

Edina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from Cedarville University and a Master of Science degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.

She is a member of SHRM and holds the SHRM-SCP certification. She and her husband, Ken, love spending time in the mountains, especially doing lake activities when the weather is warmer…which can happen randomly, year-round, in sunny Colorado. They have two adult daughters, Greer and Macy.
