Day One: A People Strategy that Drives Patient Experience Excellence
Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020
According to the Harvard Business Review, employee experience was a top three priority for businesses in 2019. As healthcare providers especially are always looking to upgrade patient experience, people leaders have become increasingly conscious of the need to make similar changes in employee experience as well.
As CHRO of Stanford Health Care, David Jones' first priority is building and sustaining a people strategy that attracts, engages, and builds talent that the health system needs to achieve its overall vision. As such, David is responsible for ensuring a first-in-class employee experience so that caregivers in turn provide first-in class experiences to their patients. David and his team are focused on constant improvement of HR services and technology within the digital world that helps drive overall efficiency and measurable results in patient care, business value, and employee engagement. David will share the journey Stanford Health Care has taken and how the organization found success with a “people-first” mindset, including:
• Using data to inform your HR strategy and to gain a deeper understanding of your workforce
• Providing context and narrative to the data you are tracking to gain leadership alignment and buy-in
• Redesigning your employee engagement approach to be more data-driven, UX friendly, and agile
