Dr. Dani Bowie has over fifteen years experience driving operational excellence in healthcare systems through innovative staffing technology initiatives that increase nurse engagement and reduce labor costs. Dani has served as both a clinician and a business leader in roles such as System Vice President of Nursing Workforce Development for Bon Secours Mercy Health and President. Dr. Bowie has also consulted for several enterprise organizations, successfully deploying staffing and scheduling technologies to improve nurse engagement and reduce premium nursing labor spend. Her self-developed nurse scheduling predictive model helped hospitals reduce cost and drive scheduling and staffing efficiencies. Some notable accomplishments include:

• Successfully led the design and implementation of a new nurse resource management model for 34 hospitals, 11 free standing ED’s, 388 inpatient nursing units, impacting 15,000 clinicians. The model included new system staffing and scheduling technology, policies, organizational redesign, flexible internal/external resource pools, and a competitive incentive program for daily shift management.
• Led an enterprise staffing and scheduling technology project converting 126 nursing units, 5000 end-users to new staffing and scheduling technology achieving improved nurse engagement and a reduction in premium nursing labor spend.
