Bridget Marzette-Bender is a nationally recognized leader in health care with more than 20 years of experience advancing Human Resources, caregiver experience, and inclusion. As Vice President of Caregiver Experience and Inclusion at Mercy, she leads enterprise-wide strategies that strengthen caregiver engagement, foster a culture of belonging, and elevate the overall experience for those who serve and those who are served.
Known for her heart-centered leadership, Bridget has helped shape initiatives that strengthen engagement, expand access, and foster inclusion both inside and outside the organization. Her work is grounded in listening, collaboration, and action—bringing voices together to drive meaningful, sustainable change.
Throughout her career, Bridget has held executive and senior leadership roles at Mercy, Centene Corporation, and BJC HealthCare. She is known as a strategic advisor and thought partner who brings vision to life—designing and implementing innovative programs that develop talent, strengthen organizational culture, and unlock the potential of individuals and teams.
Deeply committed to community wellness, Bridget is an active volunteer and civic leader. She has supported breast cancer awareness initiatives, and the Jayson Tatum Foundation; served on the boards of Valeda’s Hope, the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis, and Good Shepherd, and was honored as a hometown hero by iHeartRadio for her advocacy through Sista Strut.
Bridget holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and an MBA from Fontbonne University. She is a graduate of the St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative Fellowship (Cohort 8) and was named a Delux Magazine Power 100 honoree in 2018 and 100 Black Men Dayl Health and Wellness Champion Award in 2025.
A devoted spouse, parent, and grandparent, Bridget enjoys traveling, cooking, photography, and time with family and friends. Her work—and her life—reflect a deep commitment to service, inclusion, and creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and supported.
