Ben Wankel

VP, HR UCHealth

Ben Wankel is the vice president of human resources for the Metro Denver Region of UCHealth, Colorado’s Front Range health system comprised of leading community hospitals and the region’s top academic medical center. Mr. Wankel joined UCHealth in January 2006 as a Human Resources (HR) Generalist working his way up to his current responsibilities as vice president of human resources. His current duties include managing Employee Health & Wellness, Human Resources Business Partners, and the HR Generalist rolls at University of Colorado Health Anschutz medical campus.

Prior to joining UCHealth in 2006 Mr. Wankel has worked in Communications, Oil & Natural Gas, and Finance fields. His 20 years of combined experience brings expertise that compliments UCHealth mission, vision, and values in the areas of developing and executing strategic plans, providing business minded HR solutions, and developing bench strength in key roles.

Mr. Wankel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Webster University in Denver, Colorado.
